Hit 500 regulars at my coffee cart, still can't believe it

I've been running this cart near the courthouse in Boise for just over 18 months. This morning I counted my stamp cards and hit the 500th repeat customer, which is way more than I ever expected when I started. It matters because my first 3 months I barely sold 20 cups a day, and I almost packed it in. For anyone else who started small, how long did it take before you felt like you actually made it?

Five hundred regulars is a great number, but the feeling of making it changes every week out here. You hit a new daily record and suddenly last month feels tiny all over again. That nervousness of slow days never fully goes away, it just gets quieter.
