That one week in Tucson where nothing seemed to go wrong

Back in March I had a solid seven days at work where every single inspection came back clean. Three engine changes on Cessnas and two landing gear swaps all went smooth with no snags. Even the parts order from the warehouse showed up a day early which never happens around here. The shop lead kept asking what my secret was and I honestly had no answer. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but it just never did. Has anyone else had a week like that where the job just felt easy for no reason?

Think it might be that the universe balanced out all the rotten luck from the months before. Had a streak last fall where every job turned into a nightmare then suddenly got a perfect week that felt like a vacation. Sometimes the chaos just lines up right for a bit and you get a little luck.

honestly that feels like a lot of pressure to put on a random week. i mean, i get it, when things go wrong for months it's easy to start seeing patterns everywhere and think the universe owes you one. but in my experience, good weeks just happen sometimes, and bad weeks happen too, and most of the time there's no deeper meaning to any of it. maybe you just got lucky with the jobs lining up right, or maybe you were in a better headspace after all that garbage and it showed in your work. either way, i wouldn't go around expecting the universe to keep a running tally of your luck. that kind of thinking just sets you up to be disappointed the next time a week goes sideways, and trust me, it will.
