Still beat up about that shift at the hangar in Atlanta last summer

I was working a C-check on a 737 and we found a crack in the aft pressure bulkhead at like 2am on a Thursday. Got the whole thing sorted by Friday evening but man my back hurt for a week after crawling around in there. Any of you guys ever find something that bad on a routine check and how did you handle the timeline?

And then the shift lead tells you it's gotta be done by 0600 Friday no exceptions right? Man I feel that. Had a similar thing on a 757 out of Miami last winter, found a cracked longeron in the crown area during a routine heavy check. That one forced us to pull half the overhead panels and all the insulation blankets which turned a 3 day job into 5 days straight. Ended up having to coordinate with the parts guys to get the Teflon strips and new fasteners rushed from the warehouse in Atlanta while we kept the bird on jacks. That back pain you mentioned is no joke either I swear my knees still remind me about that one every time it gets cold.

Parts guy saved our ass on that one too, timing is everything.
