Rant: I keep seeing guys skip the final torque check on engine mount bolts. Saw it twice last week at our hangar.

Saw your post about the torque check. It's not just engine mounts, I've seen it happen with landing gear bolts too. People get in a hurry and skip the last step.

Come on, skipping the last step is just being smart with time. If the bolt feels tight and the plane hasn't fallen apart yet, maybe the manual is just being too careful. I've seen guys run a checklist in half the time and nothing bad happens.
