Question about those ultrasonic inspection courses... I was a total skeptic until I found a crack in a Cessna 172's main spar that visual missed.

Visual inspection is still required, ultrasonic just adds another layer.

Ha, yeah I had a buddy who swore by his thermal camera for finding water leaks. Only problem was he pointed it at a wall that turned out to be a mirror and spent an hour chasing his own reflection. Sometimes the old ways work best.
