Lost a $15,000 fitting kit last Tuesday because I didn't check the damn bin

Working a 737 flap job at the hangar in BWI. Three years on the line and I still forgot to secure the hardware box. Last Tuesday night, night shift tossed the whole thing. Took me six hours and a supervisor to figure out where it went. Has anyone else had a tool kit get thrown out by the cleaning crew?

Did you check the dumpster right away or did it take you a minute to realize it was gone? Night crews don't mess around, they toss stuff fast.

Holy crap 15 grand? That's insane, I would have lost my mind right there on the hangar floor.
