I was reading an old FAA maintenance manual and found out the original DC-3 had over 30,000 individual parts in its airframe alone.

Used to think old planes were simple compared to modern ones, but 30,000 parts in just the airframe? That's wild. I definitely underestimated how complex engineering was back then, even without computers and all that. It really puts into perspective how much work went into making those things fly for decades. Kinda makes you respect the old-school mechanics a lot more.
