Drained my wallet on a $220 borescope before I tried the phone camera trick

Bought an expensive flexible scope to check inside a Cessna wing spar at my hangar in Wichita, then my buddy just taped his phone to a coat hanger and got the same view in 10 minutes. That thing's been sitting in my toolbox for 4 months now, has anyone else found a cheap workaround that beat a pricey tool?
