Update: Lost my entire deposit over a cleaning clause I glossed over
Signed the lease without reading it properly... thought it was all standard stuff. The clause said professional cleaning was mandatory at move-out. I spent a weekend scrubbing the place, but they didn't accept it. Had to pay for their service out of my deposit... so much for saving money. Now I read every word before signing anything.

Ugh, that's so frustrating. I see this all the time with landlords and rental companies. They hunt for any tiny flaw to justify keeping your money. It's not just carpets, they do it with walls and appliances too. These fees feel like a hidden tax on moving out. The whole system seems set up to squeeze every last dollar from tenants.
