My $20 drip coffee maker beat the fancy espresso machine, again

After 3 years of fiddling with a $400 espresso setup, I pulled out my old Mr. Coffee from the basement last Tuesday. The thing brews a full pot in 6 minutes with zero fuss, and honestly it tastes just as good with my regular grocery beans. I was convinced the pressure and grind size mattered more, but turns out I just wanted a caffeine delivery system, not a hobby. Anyone else downgrade their coffee gear and feel weirdly relieved about it?
