I thought my 'organized chaos' filing system was fine until tax season hit
Honestly, I kept all my receipts and bills in a big shoebox for the whole year, thinking I'd sort it later. My friend kept telling me to use a simple spreadsheet from day one. When I finally had to find my medical expense total for my 1040, I spent 6 hours digging through that box while she pulled her number in 2 minutes. Ngl, the shoebox method is a total trap. Has anyone else found a basic system that actually sticks?
