Tried a monthly dinner club with 4 friends and only 1 person showed up twice
I started a rotating dinner thing back in January where each of us picks a cheap spot in Charlotte once a month, thinking it would be easier than trying to get everyone free on the same night. Two of the five dropped out after the first meal and by April it was just me and one guy eating tacos, which honestly was still fun but not what I planned. Do you keep inviting the flaky ones or just let the group shrink down to whoever actually shows?
Let the group shrink and keep it at whoever actually shows up. Chasing people who flake just wears you out and makes the whole thing feel like a chore instead of a good time. A small crew that wants to be there beats a big list that never shows, so stick with the tacos guy and maybe add one or two new folks later.
