That bartender's question about my gym buddy hit different

Chatting with this guy named Marcus at 2am last week after my shift, he asked who my last text was to and why. I realized it was my mom, and I couldn't name the last time I actually made plans with a friend. Anyone else realize they've been coasting on work acquaintances and family instead of building real friendships?

Nodded along so hard I almost pulled a muscle, then realized the only person I've hung out with this month is the guy who delivers my groceries. Guess that's what happens when your social calendar runs on "sure, sometime" and your mom's phone number is on speed dial.
