Rant: Found out my closest friend group has a secret group chat without me

I was hanging out with my three best buddies last Saturday, and one of them accidentally mentioned a thread in our group chat that I've never seen. Turns out they've had a separate chat going for six months without me, planning stuff like a camping trip to Lake Tahoe last April. I get that people need space, but it stung hard when I realized I've been missing inside jokes and hangouts. Has anyone else dealt with discovering a friend circle has a sub-group leaving you out?

Laughing at myself here because I'd probably be the one to accidentally like a photo from 2017 while scrolling at 3am and then have to pretend I didn't. Honestly though, finding out you've been blocked or ghosted always stings even if you try to play it cool. I still remember the time I saw my ex's new profile pic pop up in my "suggested friends" and just stared at my phone like "really universe, you had to do this to me?" It's almost worse when you don't get a reason and your brain just fills in the blanks with the worst possible scenarios. But hey, at least it gives us something to joke about later, right lmao
