Question about how I handled my friend Dana moving to Denver last spring
When Dana told me she was moving to Denver last April, I did the whole "let's do a monthly call" thing and honestly I figured that was just what happens when friends move. Then my buddy Marcus pointed out that I hadn't actually called her in 5 months, I was just waiting for her to reach out first so I wouldn't bug her. So I stopped waiting and now I call her every other Sunday, and we talk for like an hour every time, way better than the vague monthly plan. Anyone else catch themselves treating a friend's move like the friendship is on autopilot?
