Pro tip: That awkward coffee meetup that turned into a real friendship
I met this woman named Jen at a yoga class 3 months ago. We chatted after and she invited me for coffee even though I'm super shy. She just said 'hey I like your vibe, want to grab a latte?' without making it weird. Has anyone else had a stranger just cut through the small talk and make a real connection like that?

The laundromat thing is wild. I love that. My Jen moment happened because she literally just said "your mat is cute" and then asked if I wanted a smoothie after class. No weird buildup or anything. It's like some people just skip past all the awkward getting-to-know-you stuff and go straight to being real. I think that's rare though (people actually doing that without being pushy). Most strangers who talk to me just want to sell me something or tell me about their chakras.

Ran into a guy at a laundromat once who just handed me a coffee and said 'you look like you need this'. Been friends for 5 years now. Sometimes people just see you and get it.
