My neighbor said we should "grab coffee sometime" 9 times in 2 years and I finally counted
There's a guy two doors down, Dan, who says we should get coffee every time we're both out by the mailboxes, and I started keeping a tally after the third time. Nine times since spring of last year. I get it, we're both busy and it's a polite thing to say, but at some point the invite stops meaning anything and just becomes noise you say to fill the driveway pause. I finally just texted him a specific day and time last Tuesday, and we actually sat on his porch for an hour. Why do we all hide behind the vague "sometime" when a real day and hour takes the same breath?
