My neighbor left a sticky note on my door that I still have 4 months later
I moved into a new place in Portland back in March and didn't know a single person here. Two weeks in, my neighbor Deb knocked on my door with a plate of cookies and said "I'm having some folks over Friday, no pressure, but you should come." I almost said no because I get weird about new groups, but I went and it was just 5 people on her porch. Last month she got laid off and I was the one who brought her dinner and sat with her. I guess I'm wondering, what's the smallest thing someone did that made you feel like you actually belonged somewhere?
