Left my best friend's wedding early, still not sure I was wrong
I was in Columbus last Saturday for my buddy's wedding and he introduced me as his "old roommate" even though we lived together for 4 years and I helped him move his stuff out of a storage unit after his ex bailed. He spent the whole reception with his new work friends and gave me maybe 5 minutes total, so I slipped out after the cake cutting. Am I being too sensitive for expecting a closer spot in his life, or is it normal for married friends to just drop you?

Well, that's a tough spot to be in, but here is something to think about. Maybe your friend didn't introduce you the way you wanted because he was nervous about mixing his old life with his new one, and that's on him, not you. Weddings bring out weird behavior in people, and sometimes the best friend title gets saved for whoever is standing next to them at the moment, not who helped them through the hard years. You leaving early might just tell him you need more than a wave from across the room, and that's a fair thing to expect.
