Found out from a podcast that most adults lose 2 close friends every 5 years, so I tried a low effort fix
I heard this on a random episode back in March and it bugged me, so I started sending one dumb text a week to a buddy in Portland I barely see. Six months in we've actually hung out twice, which is more than the whole year before. Has anyone else found a tiny habit that kept a friendship from just fading out?
My version of this was sending memes to a guy in Denver for two years straight and calling it friendship. We finally talked on the phone last month and it was like 20 minutes of us both going "so yeah, stuff's good.
