Can we talk about how my best friend stopped texting back after I got a promotion?

I moved up to manager at the plant up in Cleveland about 4 months ago, and suddenly my friend Jenna just quit messaging me first or replying to anything... She used to text me every day before I got the new job. Is it normal for friends to ghost you when your life changes like that?

Have you tried just being super upfront and saying "Hey, I need a minute to celebrate this instead of having you tell me why it's not a big deal"? That's what finally worked for me with my sister. I basically had to tell her straight up that I needed her to just be happy for me without analyzing everything. It felt weird at first but she actually apologized and said she didn't realize she was doing it. Now when I share good news I just say "I don't need advice, just happy vibes" and she laughs and goes along with it.
