Can we talk about how everyone says you need to text friends every day to stay close?

I think that's total nonsense - I have a buddy I only talk to twice a month and we're tighter than most people I see weekly. Why are we acting like constant contact equals real connection instead of quality over quantity?

My sister and I go months without texting sometimes. We're still the first person each other calls when stuff gets real. Constant contact just gives me anxiety and fake small talk to fill space. Real connection doesn't need a daily check in, it just needs to be there when it counts.

My sister and I are exactly the same way. We can go weeks without talking but when she lost her job last year I was on the phone with her for three hours that same night. That kind of reliability means way more to me than a daily "how was your day" text.

Our whole world acts like more frequent = more important now.
