A simple text message changed how I handle plans with friends
I was always the one who would say 'we should hang out soon' and then never follow up. Last month, my friend Sarah texted me 'Hey, free for coffee at the park on Tuesday at 2?' instead of the usual vague line. I saw how much easier it was to just say yes to a real plan. Now I try to be the one who suggests a specific day and place right away. Do you have other tricks for turning chat into actual meetups?

Ever try just sending a calendar invite? I got sick of the back and forth, so now I just pick a spot and send the link. People either accept it or they don't, but it gets things moving.

Yeah but @the_faith, what if someone's calendar is totally private? I tried that once and my friend got weird about me seeing her blocked-out "busy" times.
