The day I realized I'd been flushing money down the drain on plumbing
I was about to call a plumber for the third time in 6 months for a slow drain in my kitchen at my place in Nob Hill. Then my neighbor, who's a retired contractor, watched me pour a whole bottle of Drano down it and just shook his head. He told me I was melting the PVC pipes under my sink and that would cost me $400 to replace later. Now I use a $15 drain snake from Lowe's and haven't had a problem since. Has anyone else had a plumber tell them to stop using chemicals?
