Swapped my torch for a heat gun on pipe repairs

Used to sweat copper joints with a propane torch every time, even in tight crawl spaces under the Northeast Heights. After scorching a floor joist last March, I switched to a cordless heat gun for low-temp solder on 1/2 inch lines, way safer. It takes maybe 2 minutes longer per joint but I stopped worrying about burning the place down. Anyone else make the switch and stick with it or go back?
