Showerthought: Finally got my old swamp cooler to stop dripping after three summers of trying.
Last week I replaced the float valve and the pad saddle gasket, which were both totally shot. Anyone know a good spot in the South Valley to get replacement pads that don't fall apart so fast?

Actually, that's an evaporative cooler, not a swamp cooler. Swamp coolers are a specific old brand name that stuck. For pads, the big box stores down there usually have the cheap stuff. You might try an actual HVAC supply house, the pads are a bit more but they last.

My uncle still calls every cooler a swamp cooler, so good luck @jakelee. The cheap pads from the big store fell apart in like a month last summer, total waste.
