I just hit 50 pounds of old carpet I pulled up myself
I was cleaning out my garage near the airport and decided to finally deal with the leftover carpet from my living room redo. I kept stuffing it into contractor bags and when I weighed the last one on my bathroom scale, it was exactly 50 pounds. That number shocked me because I had no idea a single room's carpet could be that heavy. It made me realize why the dumpster fee quote was so high. Has anyone else been surprised by the actual weight of demo materials they've removed?
