Drove past that fancy HVAC shop on Central and noticed their work trucks all have mismatched doors

I was grabbing breakfast near Central and San Mateo last weekend and saw like 6 vans from Apex Heating and Air all parked together. Every single one had a different colored door panel, some white, some gray, some blue. I get that it keeps costs down but for a company that charges premium rates for AC repairs, it makes them look like they just grab parts from any junker. Has anyone else noticed this or am I being too picky about aesthetics?

Oh man, you are not being too picky at all! That would bug me way more than it probably should. I actually called around to a few HVAC places last summer when my unit went out and Apex was one of them, their quote was like twice as much as the guy I ended up going with. The truck thing is a red flag honestly, if they're that cheap with their own work vehicles they're probably cutting corners on repairs too. I'd rather see a clean, matching fleet than worry about what fancy parts they're advertising.

Buddy of mine had them out for a furnace repair last winter. Showed up in a beat up Ford Ranger with mismatched doors and no logo on the side. Guy had to come back twice because he forgot the right parts the first time. Charged my friend extra for the second trip too. Ended up paying way more than the quote and the furnace still acts up sometimes. Definitely not worth the headache.
