A client in the North Valley told me my caulk lines looked sloppy

I was finishing up a bathroom tile job near Paseo del Norte last month, feeling pretty good about it. The homeowner came in, looked at the corners, and said 'The grout is fine, but that caulk looks like you did it in the dark.' It hit me hard because I thought I was being careful. She pointed out how the line was uneven in two spots and had a little gap near the floor. I went back the next day with a new tube of DAP Alex Plus and redid all the seams. Now I keep a small bucket of water and a sponge right next to me when I caulk, and I check every line with a bright light before I call it done. It added maybe 15 minutes to the job but made a huge difference. Has anyone else had a client call them out on a small detail that you now always double-check?

Man, that bright light trick is a total game-changer (I should try that).
