The Tuesday my basement project fought back and won

I was finally drywalling the basement in Wichita after 4 months of stopping and starting. Everything went fine until I hit a cold water pipe with a screw, which sprayed water everywhere before I found the shutoff behind a box of old paint cans. Took me three trips to the hardware store and a full day to patch it up, and now I'm scared to hang anything else down there. Has anyone else had a small mistake turn a simple step into a whole weekend of work?
