The pallet wood shelf that made me eat my words about cheap tools
I spent $80 on a nail gun to build a basic shelf out of pallet wood this spring, calling it a waste compared to my old hammer. That shelf has held 200 pounds of paint cans for 6 months without a squeak, while my hand-nailed one fell apart in about 3 weeks. Am I wrong for trusting cheap tools now, or did I just get lucky with this one brand?
