Should you really finish every abandoned project or is quitting sometimes the smarter move?
I've got 4 half-finished projects sitting in my garage from last spring, and I keep seeing people push through to completion even when the design is clearly flawed, so is grit actually hurting our quality more than it helps, or am I just making excuses for my own lack of follow-through?

People are way too dramatic about abandoned projects. Half that stuff in your garage probably had a good reason to stop. That birdhouse I started last year turned into a squirrel feeder by accident because the dimensions were all wrong. Sometimes you save more time and money by just trashing the bad idea and moving on. The whole "finish what you start" thing works better for stuff like marathons or reading books, not for things where the design was broken from the jump.

My buddy spent three months restoring a canoe, then realized it was two feet shorter on one side and used it for firewood.
