My $50 'weatherproof' tackle box that turned into a fish tank

I bought a supposedly waterproof tackle box off an Instagram ad for bass fishing, and after one rainy trip to Lake Austin last July, everything inside was soaked and rusty. The seal failed completely, and I lost about $80 worth of lures and hooks. Has anyone else gotten burned by those flashy fishing gear ads online?

Those Instagram ads always use stock photos from 2010.
