My 3D printer project stalled because I keep fixing the same z-axis bind

I've been trying to finish this custom enclosure for my printer in Akron for about a month now. Every time I level the bed and start a test print, the z-axis screws bind up after ten layers and ruin the whole part. I know it's probably a coupler alignment issue, but I've rebuilt the gantry twice and even swapped in a new lead screw from a local shop. Has anyone else fought this same gremlin where the fix works for one print and then creeps back?
