Just realized my vegetable garden actually looks different this week
I noticed today that my tomato plants grew a full 6 inches since last Monday after I started actually watering them at ground level instead of from above. What changed was finally listening to my neighbor who told me to stop using the sprinkler. Has anyone else seen a big jump in plant growth after switching up your watering method?

Stopped being a sprinkler person myself after I saw what overhead watering was doing to my zucchini leaves. Always thought it was fine and that my plants were just slow growers, but the powdery mildew and yellowing leaves told a different story. Switched to drip irrigation this year and the difference is wild, like the plants are actually drinking the water instead of just getting wet. Never going back to spraying from above, that's for sure. Makes me wonder why I fought it for so long when the results speak for themselves.

Read this one study that said overhead watering spreads disease spores like crazy. Drip keeps the foliage bone dry which is huge for prevention. Makes total sense why your zucchini bounced back.
