I was organizing my garage in Phoenix and found my old half-finished birdhouse from 2020

I realized I kept stopping because I was trying to carve the perfect details by hand, when my friend just said 'dude, a bird doesn't care about fancy trim'. Has anyone else gotten stuck making something way too complex?

Ever get so focused on the tiny stuff you forget what you're even making? I did that with a workbench. Spent weeks trying to get the joints perfect before I realized it just needed to hold a toolbox. Finishing it felt way better than letting it sit there half done. Your friend is right, sometimes good enough is perfect.

Wait, you spent weeks on the joints? That's wild. Rivera.jake asked the right question because I would've given up after two days max. A workbench just needs to be solid, not a museum piece.

What finally got you to just call it done?
