I just realized my half-finished knitting project has enough yarn to make a scarf for a giraffe.

I mean, I was just trying to make a simple hat, but after six months of on-and-off work, I've somehow knitted a tube that's over eight feet long and I'm honestly not sure how to turn it into anything wearable at this point.

Have you considered just turning it into a giant loop scarf? You could twist it a few times and it would be this huge, cozy statement piece. I've done that before with a project that got away from me. The real question is, did you ever check your gauge or did you just keep going on autopilot for six months? That's the kind of focus I can only dream of, honestly.
