Appreciation post: my 3D printed garden gnome army has been sitting half painted in a box for 8 weeks
So I got really into 3D printing tiny garden gnomes back in June and pumped out 14 of them before I realized I hate painting tiny hats and beards. They've been in a shoebox under my desk since, and my wife keeps calling it my "gnome graveyard." I did finally finish one last Tuesday and glued it to a rock by the mailbox, and a neighbor kid asked if it was a surveillance device, which honestly made me want to finish the rest. My problem is I keep starting the fun part and bailing when it gets boring, which is pretty much every project I've ever touched. How do you all push through the boring middle stretch, do you bribe yourself or just grind it out?
