Why does everyone push the $10k emergency fund before starting a side hustle, when $500 got me my first client?
Back in 2019 I was broke in Phoenix and read every blog saying save six months of bills first, but I listed one weekend of my off days doing prep work for a catering guy and made $500, which bought the used gear and insurance I needed to book the next gig, and I have watched people sit on $10k for a year and never launch, while I know at least four cooks who started with less than $600 cash - so what number did you actually start with, not the one you wish you had?
