The $120 courses that got me my first freelance client vs. the $0 ones that just wasted my time
I dropped $120 on a sales-focused course last spring and landed a $400 retainer within two weeks, but before that I burned through like 15 free YouTube tutorials that left me with zero paying gigs. Now I'm seeing people argue that paid stuff is a scam and free stuff is all you need, but my experience says the money forced me to actually follow through. Anyone else find that spending cash on a course made you treat the whole thing more serious, or did it just burn you too?
