That cashier at the gas station who clocked my side hustle hustle
Stopped for coffee at a 7-Eleven in Akron and the guy at the register asked what I did. I mumbled about my boring data entry job and he said, 'You've got the look of someone who sells stuff on the side.' He was right, I had just shipped 14 vintage mugs that morning. Has anyone else had a stranger just... see it? What did they say?

3 years ago I would've said that cashier was just messing with you, but last month a lady at the DMV asked if I flip furniture after I mentioned I had paint under my nails. I'd only sold two nightstands that week, so it's not like I had a van full of stuff. She said it was the way I measured the chair legs with my fingers while waiting in line. That weirdly specific read made me realize people who hustle can just spot each other, like a secret handshake or something. Maybe it's the way we look at prices or how we check our phones every few minutes. That 7-Eleven guy probably saw you doing the same thing without even noticing.
