Recently bought a Sain smart 2in1 board. I have everything else working except the heater cartridge was giving me issues. I tried to connect everything to the extruder PCB using the ribbon cable and after a few times heating it up, the ribbon cable started melting. I know that 6 pins are dedicated for the heater on the extruder PCB, however I only connected two.
Picture of pins and melted cable:
the red box indicates the 6 pins dedicated to the heater.
So obviously only two pins for the heater is not a safe setup, so my question is; will connecting all 6 pins alleviate my issues? should I get a larger ribbon cable? If you need any more information let me know
