OK, Pronterface is working with manual controls.

All the axes are moving under manual command and so are the heaters for bed and extruder.

I will now work through the Getting Started steps and, hopefully try printing tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for the guidance, spiderdaddy.

Tomorrow I will finish the "Getting Started" steps, then with a level print bed try creating a few models.

my board responds to Proterface w the following:
Connecting...
[ERROR] Could not connect to None at baudrate 115200:
Serial error: could not open port None: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified.

Windows 8 OS can't find a driver either and classifies Rigidbot device as 'unknown' type.

Any ideas would be helpful? mike
